Three haunting portraits of lost souls.
Three portraits of three characters who are stuck in themselves. They are tossed to and fro between hope and despair, in a time full of contradictions in which nothing is certain anymore or seems to be. Perhaps they too exist primarily in function of the other? The audience, for example. But what if the audience leaves? Between the words and the silences, a concern murmurs. Implosions and explosions alternate ever faster. They are three souls who, above all, try to hold on.
In Sollipsists three actors — Louise Bergez, Lucas van der Vegt and Joeri Happel — search for a common imagination, together with director Jesse Vandamme. The material is based on monologues that were created independently in recent years, some of them during the workshop Het Uur van de Waarheid by Luk Perceval in NTGent, and in the performance GIANTS by Jesse Vandamme. The form is sober and stripped down; the setting intimate. The result is three haunting portraits in a row.
